We are lucky to be introducing three new styles to All That Dance in 2024! Lyrical, Cheerdance and Aerial.
LYRICAL
Lyrical dance is recognized as a beautiful dance form that builds on the foundations of ballet and jazz, with a strong focus on technique. Dancers perform a cohesive emotional, expressive dance through guided movements following the lyrics of a song. Dancers will learn how to express emotions through their body language and facial expressions in order to tell the story of the music.
We will offer this style in 4 age levels:
Junior (10yrs and under), Elementary (11-12yrs), Intermediate (13-17yrs) and Senior (17yrs+).
Please note: ages are based off of Childs age on January 1st 2024.
CHEERDANCE
Cheerdance is a dynamic combination of cheerleading moves and stylish dance. We will learn a variety of high energy routines performed to fun music, incorporating the use of poms and also basic acro/gymnastic skills.
This style will be offered for ages 9-14yrs.
AERIAL ARTS- SILKS & HOOP
Combining athleticism and creative expression, aerial dance provides a full body work out. While using low-hanging aerial silks and aerial hoops, students experience the grace and beauty of this art form, while having fun and building strength!
We will offer this style in 2 age levels:
Junior (10yrs and under) & Intermediate (11yrs+).
Dress Code:
Due to the nature of this style and the safety of students a strict dress code will be in place for this class.
- Students must wear full length leggings (with no zippers)
- Tight fitted leotard or singlet (with high back coverage)
- Hair must be in a neat bun or braids (no long ponytails)
- all jewellery (necklace, watches, rings, large earrings) must be taken off
THIS IS NOT ONLY TO PROTECT THE EQUIPMENT FROM DAMAGE BUT ALSO FOR THE STUDENTS SAFETY!
Please note: Due to ceiling height restrictions Term 1 will consist of learning the fundamentals and building the strength and flexibility required for this style. Silks and Hoops will then be introduced into the class in Term 2.
Classes will be open for registration on the 1st of January 2024.
